We Believe
This church practices union; has no creed, seeks to make religion as intelligent as science, as appealing as art, as vital as the day's work, as intimate as home, and as inspiring as love. -- E.S. Ames
Disciples of ChristVillage Christian Church is a congregation of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), often referred to as "Disciples."
The Disciples are a main line denomination focused on Christian unity, which we celebrate weekly at the Lord's Table. The denomination was born on the American frontier and still celebrates the values of community, unity, and religious freedom that were formative to our nation. |
Our CommunityOur community at Village Christian Church is like a family. We are a small congregation doing big things. Our community also extends beyond our church family to the greater Auburn / Opelika area. We help those in need through local ministries like the East Alabama Community Market and through the faithful service of members of our church family.

Our worshipOur main worship services are held on the first and third Sunday mornings at 11:00 a.m. On alternating Sundays, we worship by meeting in a Bible study format instead of a traditional service. We observe communion each week, regardless of our meeting type.
